How to count the number of values found for a field in MongoDB using Node.js and Mongoose (using aggregation)

This post is part 1 of a series of posts I will make regarding Node.js and MongoDB.  I will be using the Mongoose module for Node.js, but for the most part the MongoDB syntax is about the same.  The ultimate goal with this series is to take data from a MongoDB database, and use that data to create a dynamic graph/chart with Morris.js.

The first step to this process is learning about MongoDB aggregation. The data we will be using in this example is a collection of products, that has a field product_manufacturer.  We will use MongoDB to return to us, the total number of products that each manufacturer has in our database.  So let’s get started .. New responsive bootstrap layout and custom logo!

That’s right, as you can see the logo has been updated as well as the layout and design!  I’m working on tweaking out any problems, but if you find anything that hasn’t been fixed yet please comment on this post or email me and let me know!  Oh yeah, guess what, this layout is responsive too, so try viewing the site on your cell phone … oh yeah!

How to un-root, factory reset, reset flash counter, and return your Samsung Galaxy S3 (S III) to completely stock.

With T-Mobile’s new JUMP program there are going to be plenty of people who will need to revert their phone back to completely stock in order to upgrade their device.  Lucky enough this is pretty simple to do, and I will explain this in a few steps below which should only take about 10 minutes or so.  These instructions will allow you to completely reset the flash counter, install stock firmware, and basically reset the phone to the state it was when you first purchased it.  So without any further delay, let’s un-root the Samsung Galaxy S III… (more…)
